Glassnote Records recently released two official remixes for the song "Heartbeat" by Childish Gambino. The remix duties were given to Oliver and Treasure Fingers, and the final products were released earlier this week. You may or may not know that Gambino is, in fact, the hip-hop stage name of Donald Glover from the TV show Community. Since 2008, Gambino has had almost as much success on stage as he has had on screen. He released his first studio album back in Novemeber called Camp, also on Glassnote Records. As for the remixes, both are extremely funky yet different. Oliver takes on a slower loungey tempo, while Treasure Fingers gives it a house vibe. You may find it interesting to know that 1/2 of Oliver is Canadian producer U-Tern who, as it turns out, will be DJ'ing in Dallas tonight at Rio Room. Be sure to go check him out.
