On February 7th, Australia's Nick Thayer will release his Like Boom EP on OWSLA. Expect the entire release to be filled with many different styles of filthy bass music, as he doesn't stick with just one style in his productions. Nick currently has an audio/video live show in collaboration with visual artist sevenmilligram that is supposed to be mind blowing. Hopefully he will bring it to the U.S. fairly soon. Nick Thayer first came up on my radar when I heard his moombah remix of Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Got Your Money" and I immediately knew I had to have it. Unfortunately for me, the tune was approved for the Ministry Of Sound Maximum Bass Platinum CD that is only available in Australia. However, it has not kept me from following his work and I am glad to be featuring him here now. Below, you can listen to previews for both the new EP, and that elusive ODB remix.
